ICPS is a physics conference for students, organized by students, making it the perfect opportunity to meet international physics peers. The conference is the perfect place if you’re looking for academic growth as you can present your own poster, host a workshop, join hands-on labs or attend a variety of lectures. If you’re more interested in a cultural trip, the program includes guided cultural excursions, social evenings and the yearly nation’s evening, where every country cooks and presents their own local dishes for everyone to taste.
If you’re worried about the price remember, the 200 euros include all accomodation, food and drinks, transportation and excursions for a week.
For those of you worried about traveling alone, don’t be! There is already a group chat for students from the Netherlands who are planning to go so you can coordinate travel together. If you’re interested in joining the chat or if you have questions you’d like to ask students who have attended ICPS in the past, just ask your board to get our contact information.

PLANCKS is an exam-based physics competition for bachelor’s and master’s students and will take place in Eindhoven May 21st-25th 2026. It is a four-day event event organized for undergraduate and graduate students who have performed best in the preliminary rounds of the Physics Olympiad. It will be filled with excursions, social activities, alongside a symposium and the contest itself. The event is organized by the International Association of Physics Students (IAPS) in collaboration with a committee from the hosting country. The committee will consist of people from all over the Netherlands.
What does it get you?
Besides a fantastic and unique experience, you get the chance to become good friends with the international community of IAPS.
